Diana is a 13-year-old girl from Nicaragua who holds the honor of being the very first child sponsored by Child Foundation Charity. Diana was born with a cleft palate and was first operated on by the Smile Train while she was living in Nicaragua. On January 26, 2007, Dr. Joel Levin did minor adjustments and improvements to her original repair. Child Foundation paid $4,700 for her surgery at Baptist Medical Arts Surgery Center.
Diana is now a happy teenager and doing well in school in Miami. We often get cards and letters from her and are currently waiting for an updated picture of her for the website. Diana especially loves stuffed animals, and one of her favorites is a giant panda named Gir, a gift from CFC for her last birthday
